Kansas City is the City of fountains. Indians and Pakistanis outside Kansas city will be suprized to find that there is a huge community of Desi's here. Its around 8000 families of Indian, Pakistanis, Bangaladeshi and other people from middle east all fall in the umbrella of Desi.We have around 10 Grocery stores including stores for Halal meat. There cinema halls here that show Hindi Cinema, like AMC 30 shows 1 -2 hindi movies. People who have settled here with families can find good social circle. There are a lot of desi doctors in KC area.Kansas city is spread in Missouri and Kansas states and the nearby suburbs are Overland Park, Olathe, Lenexa, Lee's Summit etc. All these cities have a good community of desis. The school distict here is one of the best in the country and due to that houses are little bit on upscale. But the positive side is that there are lot of posh people around and the security is generally good.Kansas city is also in the middle of country so its easy to take vacations around the USA. Many people visit Las Vegas and Florida as these flights turn out to be cheaper. There are also lot of mosques and couple of temples in the city for religious people.There are websites which has a good online community of Kansas City Indian and Pakistani community . Adba And Uk Battle Over Biogas Tariffs

ENGLAND–The UK will institute a new system of tariffs for biogas and renewable heat. The program, which is modeled after a successful Canadian initiative, will index the tariffs with inflation to protect investors and–hopefully–boost earnings in the biofuel sector.

However, critics complain that this deal leaves anaerobic digestion plants in the dust.

“The Anaerobic Digestion and Biogas Association (ADBA) expressed bewilderment at DECC's decision to reduce the level of support for anaerobic digestion from the figure of 11p/kwh published in the summer of 2009 consultation document to 9p/kwh (€0.10) (for plants above 500kW), which is less than the current trading value for anaerobic digestion (AD) under the Renewable Obligation Certificate (ROC) scheme.”
Though the ADBA and other industry heads lobbied for change, the feed in tariff (FIT) level for small scale anaerobic digestion plants will stay unchanged–or stagnant–at 11.5 p/kwh.

In the blog Let's Recycle, the ADBA noted that financial viability is the greatest obstacle to a healthy anaerobic digestion industry in the UK. The organization was lobbying intensely for for both the Feed-in Tariff (FiT) and the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) to be set at what they felt were appropriate levels.

ADBA called for the tariffs, which will go into effect by April 2011, to be set at 168p per therm- approximately the energy equivalent of burning 100 cubic feet of natural gas.

ADBA Executive Chairman Lord Redesdale said: “Whether this becomes an industry or remains as just a few plants dotted around the country really depends on the regulation and subsidy structure to make it financially viable.

The big one to change it will be the RHI. Nobody else will be looking at that subsidy, which is great and it will massively affect the industry.”
The blog Biofuels International remarks, “At this level of support there is no incentive for AD operators to move from the current ROC scheme to the new FIT, which was supposed to support smaller scale plants (less than 5MW) looking for a simpler alternative to ROCs.”

It is advisable to submit only the photocopies of all documents unless the originals are asked for. Your employer will act as your sponsor to get you into the country.
If you move in with your family, your spouse or any other relative would require a licence to work. However, women who wish to take up a job in Qatar, and are already on a family sponsorship would not further require a separate work permit. All they need to do is to get themselves registered as a working woman at the Labour Department. They require a formal signed permission letter of the sponsor for this. For women, employment in Qatar is opening up these days. A lot of Qatari women are also working while wives of expatriates working in Qatar also take up jobs during their stint here. Women are entitled to the same salaries, training and promotion opportunities but they are not hired for any type of hazardous work. Women are advised to wear non-revealing clothes with full sleeves and trousers although covering head is not mandatory.
